Scrappy-Doo a child of incest?!

Slow day at work today and I got on the topic of Scooby-Doo somehow. Oh! I remember. She mentioned how she was a mystery reader at her kid's school and she gave out candy and read from a Scooby-Doo book. I asked if she dressed up as Velma, but had to look up whether it was Velma or Thelma, just in case I was wrong. (I was right, it's Velma.)

Anyway, since I was on Wikipedia already, I started reading a bit (did you know Scooby-Doo's REAL name is Scoobert Doo?!) and I noticed that it had listed under Scooby-Doo's family the following information (paraphrased)

Scrappy-Doo - Younger Nephew
Ruby-Doo - Sister and Mother of Scrappy-Doo
Skippy-Doo - Triplet Brother and Ruby-Doo's Husband and father of Scrappy-Doo

WHAT THE?!

Obviously, someone's got some fact wrong, making something up, or some writer didn't do their homework when writing the story.

So I did a bit of research.

Scrappy-Doo's birth to Ruby-Doo seems to be true. Many different websites have that as a fact. I've even found the episode that describe this wondrous event and have added it to my Netflix queue. (Season 1 of the Richie Rich/Scooby-Doo Show, episode titled Scrappy's Birthday).

The only episode containing a reference to Skippy-Doo is from the Pup Called Scooby-Doo series. Which couldn't possibly contain a reference to Skippy-Doos offspring, since he's still a pup! Unless there's some Lost-type flash forward. Mmmm...

I haven't yet modified the Wikipedia article (except to remove some reference to a gay elephant), but will definately keep you in the loop once I've received the movie and had a chance to review.

Scrappy-Doo: Scooby's young nephew (and son of Scooby's sister Ruby-Doo), Scrappy is the bravest of Scooby's relatives. Scrappy became a recurring character in the Scooby-Doo series beginning in 1979, and was noted for being quite headstrong and always wanting to face off in a fight against the various villains (unlike his uncle). Scooby and Shaggy were present at Scrappy's birth.

Dooby-Doo: Scooby's triplet brother, a singer. He is one of Scooby's few siblings to have hair on his head.Only Appeared in "The 'Dooby Dooby Doo' Ado" and Scooby Goes Hollywood as known as "The Scoob".
Momsy and Dada Doo: Scooby's parents.
Whoopsy-Doo: Scooby's cousin, a clown. Owned by Shaggy (Norville)'s uncle, Gaggy Rogers.
Ruby-Doo: Scooby's sister, and mother of Scrappy-Doo.
Skippy-Doo: Scooby's triplet brother. Highly intelligent. He is Scooby's only sibling to wear glasses. He is married to Ruby Doo and the father of Scrappy Doo. *

Right... that's straight from the article from Wikipedia; that is obviously wrong (or the Wikipedia article borrowed the information from that source).

I believe what I'll find after continuing my research is that Ruby-Doo is truly the mother, but Skippy-Doo, is only Scooby-Doo's brother and NOT married to Ruby-Doo.
