Ok, this is silly, I've tried many times and never defeated Udonion. Post some times and lets get together maybe Friday or Saturday or perhaps even Sunday night and make a last push to win this battle. I'd like to try at least 3 times if needed. What time works for people???
If you haven't been to BG (Barad Gularan), I'd be willing to make a run through the whole place once to help others prepare to defeat Stabbyhands.
This instance is not terribly long or hard to access compared to say Haudh Valendil in Annuminas. We'll need lots of potions, I'll try to bring extra.
With any luck I'd like to say we could run the instance 3 times in 2 hours no problem and probably in less time. This is probably for those 46 and up, but maybe a little lower.

Masochist!
And yet ... I'll go. The usual 9-ish EDT most nights would be good for me. I can stay up late all three nights as well.
One thought has occurred to me on the fight. While we may well be spread too far apart for this to be useful, bringing some salves along with the potions may come in hand, since you can use the salve on someone else. (Although I don't know what the effective range is for them.) That way, if someone gets hit with two nasty dots in a row, perhaps they could still be saved.

You pretty much have to be standing next to your target in order to use a salve on them. And they share a cooldown with the regular pots as well. I still use salves over potions, though (that's just the healer in me). I'd be up for trying this. We'll have to do a complete run-through of the place in order to get the 3 special items for the rest of the group. I think 3 attempts in 2 hours is optimistic, given that we -will- have to clean the entire instance out first. But count me in! Friday or Saturday is good, Sundays are totally out.

I'm up for trying this. I have never ever done Stabbyhands. I'm available Sat evening or all of Sunday.

I am up for it, have what seems to be many potions, salves , or whatever, and best of all, I have a scroll or staff or something for the final battle in my bank.

Still trying to firm up my weekend plans (10% or less chance I'll be in Denver, but I'm not feeling like we're going anywhere this weekend).
But maybe Saturday 9:00 PM EST try to take BG and end the Evil!

I'm in and will stay as long as needed. Just ask that everyone be ready to do something they may not consider "fun".
2 people will be assigned staff duty. captain running around healing fear, watching for buffs more than actually fighting stabbyhands, burglar/champion/guardian sitting at an altar watching the fight from afar instead of being in the midst of it hacking and slashing (depending on fellowship makeup of course). if we have a loremaster, loremaster running around healing wounds more than actually fighting stabbyhands.
and everyone with 20 fear salves and 20 wound salves quickslotted.. when you see the purple or red eyeball, use the appropriate salve. if your neighbor's already used it and you haven't, use yours on him/her and of course the lm/capt running around curing when needed.
my opinion is that while nice to stop his self-heal, if he does get it off, it's not "game over". but the other 2...
also... there is a Line of Sight "exploit" that can be used to defeat him. tank him in a corner... when he yells his catch-phrase, everyone hide... kinda cheap, but was told it works

A couple of tips about Udunion: 1) In Harm's Way/Last Stand will protect you from the instakill damage following "Burn" and "Shadow Take You", though I think not the fatal debuffs. 2) Opening a conjunction on him right after his scripted line will interrupt and cancel whatever action he was going to take. We used this second strategy get through a bug wherein Udunion would say "Burn," and our horn person would use the horn on the appropriate sigil with no apparent effect on the boss. Because we usually run BG several times in succession, we did have multiples of the special items, in case someone died at an inconvenient time. That certainly gives you more of a cushion in case something goes wrong, but I wouldn't say it's necessary.
This is not an easy fight your first time through, but it does get a whole lot easier with experience. Also, this is something that some groups don't think to do, have your item users put the items on their hotbars. There is nothing more frustrating than your minstrel yelling frantically over voice chat that they can't remember where they put the horn in their bags and can't find it right before everybody gets roasted.

This fight is a sensory overload fight. You have to watch so many things, from what he says, to the insta-kill debuffs, to skill and item cooldowns... the best way that I've found to deal with this fight is to have one person (this one person has been me lately, as a captain) to float. The floater calls out wounds, calls out when to use items, and just doesn't pay any attention to Uduion at all, insofar as damaging him. Sometimes, there are unavoidable deaths. Such as when a wound pot cures a debuff and not the insta-kill wound.

*and more*
If you interrupt him properly he'll get the 'Silenced' icon on his debuff bar, so you'll know if it worked. If you're the only person getting one-shotted it's due to the fear or wound debuff you sometimes get.
It sounds like you're using a fear pot regardless on whether you have a fear debuff though (?). You need to watch your debuff bar and see which effect is on you. If it's a wound the icon will be red, if it's a fear the icon will look the same but have a purple tint. Only use the appropriate cure pot. If you have a lore-master or captain in your group they should be roaming around curing wounds and fears when necessary too.

I'm still a bit stunned that we defeated him. I kept waiting for all his specials to go off at the same time and nuke us all!

Clearly he was too baffled by the people who confronted him wearing pumpkin and rabbit masks to throw out all his best party tricks.
