Generally, I try to stay in character when talking in fellowship chat. However, this gets real challengingfor my burglar when it comes time to set up conjunctions. It seems that in Pugs it is not worth the time to cover it in character - unless they are roleplaying.
It seems that a bunch of adventurers could talk strategy, but they would use move names (I.e. Eagle's Cry) rather than the blue button. It seems like it would parallel us roleplaying football players in a huddle.
Does anyone else have thoughts or experiences in handling conjunctions and their setup in character? I am looking for fun and expedient.

Hmm. I don't know. I always assumed that fellowship chat was out of character for simplicity's sake. I know that usually fellowship chat is where most folks strategize and such and that's just much easier to do ooc. I tend to only be IC in say and kinship though. I'm probably not much help here.

I think it's only natural to talk game mechanics and d**n the rp. I think most of you know I try to stay in character most times, but I do drop out of it sometimes when game mechanics get in the way. Bottom line, I don't worry about it all that much.

Do you think it would add flavor to your characters to try it IC when we have 'the usual suspects' running in a fellowship? Or do we just let it go?
I am also thinking of trying to schedule a FM collection event, once I learn trip as my third FM opener. The idea would be to gather near some trolls and see how many different maneuvers we can add to our skill lists. But that would be an OOC event using vent.

Seriously? I can't say d-a-m-n? You can't talk about measuring with a tables-p-o-o-n either.

Perhaps this is a function of Kat & I gaming together for almost 5 years or its coincidence, but I do the same. Sorry if I ever bothered you zib by talking OOC in /f chat. I do however like your idea, but without a cheat sheet, there will probably be some sort of explaining (green position 3, red position 4, etc) even if its in ( ) or something

No worries. I'm like anyone else in the kin, sometimes I want to RP other times I don't. And I have no problems with folks talking out of character in /f.
