(my intro on landroval.org from rather early after release)
My name is Artemisia, and I grew up in Buckland with my three close girl cousins, Vinca, Damiana, and Rue.
Recently our lives have been drawn out of the hobbit-lands and into the troubles of these times.
I am the "oliphant's child" of the lot -- always poking my nose into anything that intrigues me, as they say.
I was so pleased to get a good reception at the Pony tonight, at the "battle of the bards," where I -- to my honest surprise -- took first prize.
Of my cousins, Vinca is the serious one -- a Bounder and armoursmith who wants to gather intelligence to protect the Shire.
Damiana is the adventuress, a swashbuckler with a taste for fine gems. I am not like the bad girl in the song I sang tonight, but of Damiana I am not so sure -- but she excels at avoiding being caught, so who could say.
And dear Rue is most comfortable in the woods, or working with wood. But she is doughty in defense of her kin and friends, and not to be dismissed for her quiet ways.
Together with our friend Cynwed, of the Big People of far Rohan -- who tries to teach us the ways of the outside lands to her frustration -- we have a trading company together, and share markets and resources.
I look forward too seeing more of all of you, and thank you for a very friendly welcome tonight at the Pony!
Yrs,
Artemisia & Co.

Hi, I'm Shava, and I play MMOs. I'm a 48 year old woman, a consultant in RL, which means that I get to work from home and engage in bad discipline playing games between contracts...
I was a well liked and respected member of League of Arda, but then LoA sort of imploded -- Ryan left leadership, then Severion, and although I was on registered leave on the boards for three weeks when Severion left, and although I was listed on leave on the boards, I and all my alts got kicked, and when I came back after three weeks, LoA was about 20% of its former membership. Much drama. I don't like drama, although I am fond of RP. So I went to play Eve for a bit, especially since I lost my GPU and I could play Eve on integrated graphics.
Well, xmas is come, and I have a new GPU, and I'm running on High with LOTRO now!
I came in game this week, and looked up Ryan to ask him who he most respected as medium RP groups on landroval these days, and PoP came up highly recommended.
Please consider adopting a bevy of hobbit crafters (plus one sympathetic big person). I'm heavily into crafting, so although Artemisia is my main (at 25) the rest are in their mid-teens to nearly 20's and well developed.
You can search for Artemisia on LOTRO boards and landroval.org to see various contributions from me to the community, including songs and stories.
Thanks!
Shava
