My Gammer, she taught me well. ‘Always stick close to the earth’ she said, ‘and the earth will stick close to you!’ And that’s just what I plan on doing. I am a Brandybuck, through and through. You won’t see me holed up in the Shire for all my days, no sir I reckon you won’t! I love to explore, the Old Forest beyond the Hay Gate especially. Still, I am just as well staying home, tending to my gardens and cooking up some of the finest food in all of Buckland! My Gammer also taught me how to sing and play a tune, which helps to cheer up worn spirits after a hard day’s work! I hope to one day open up my own Tavern, The Old Oak, and serve my food, along with the finest ales to travelers that come, as well as the locals. If I can just keep that confounded Meriadoc and his fool Took of a friend from stealing my best vegetables…
