I'd love to, but I'm not sure how I'm going to be able to raid now. I'm back to work (finally!) and I'm getting up at 5:30 every morning, and I absolutely -have- to be in bed by 10:30-10:45 in order to function normally in the office. That -literally- makes it so that Friday and Saturday nights would be my only good nights to raid. Sorry.

I'd like to, I've never been there and I can use the drops even at 56!

Verewen, congratulations on being back at work!
Assuming that it not only takes a character at level 50, but one in good gear, it will be a two months before I will be able to participate.
(and zooming off on a tangent)
For now, I expect to provide a healing/buffing minstrel to our Moria/raid efforts. At some point that might change - I was going to level up warden. But honestly, I don't like healing non-guardian tanks, so it makes me guilty playing my warden since tank is the main contribution a warden can make.
To explain further (and not piss off our champions/wardens), as a minstrel, I find that I end up spamming two healing abilities most fights against elites/bosses. With a guardian, I have time to mix in buffs, a little dps and maybe even a crowd control ability. Granted, this is when I am only healer. Being able to use additional abilities makes the fights a little more enjoyable for the healer.
(End tangent/rant)

I'd love to also, but I'm not sure if it will fit my schedule. If you pick a date I will always try to be there. And, yes, 50+ with decent gear is a good idea.

It's good to hear that Verewen's reduced playtime is due to a Job and work, She should be suffering like the rest of us Seriously though, I think we'd all be disappointed if we encouraged you to let the game get in the way of your job. Congratulations and Keep at it, work hard, make us proud ;D I think it's not unrealistic to think of clearning the Rift in 2 long shifts on a special weekend (Friday night, saturday, and sunday day?). I'll need to research, but will level 60 and legendary weapons make completing the rift an easier reality??

In the past, We've taken freeps in who were below 50, though that was before the release of Moria and I do think they made the Rift harder so it will still challenge those higher than 50, but that needs researching. All I would say is the first few Rift bosses could certainly be done without level 50 and uber equipment, but finishing the Balrog encounter will probably require more than level 50 and good equipment. Though the nice thing about LOTRO is it's most about teamwork and doing a few particular things than always having to have uber equipment and build. Remember the Rift is a 12 freep instance, so there's always room for a warden

I'd really love to go back there now that we're all (most?) approaching 60. I'd like to see how we'd do with it all now.

It's still supposed to be challenging even at 60, or so I have heard. I'm still interested in going for fun.
Some of you know Gombur, a friend of mine from the Landroval Coffee Crew, who has joined with us in several fellowships. He and I have previously spoken about his kin and ours joining forces for some raiding. They're a small kin, but have several people who have recently hit 50ish. I'll try to talk to him soon about this.
Side note: work is going to kick my butt up and down the office for the next week or so, so I may not be around quite as much as usual.

*Gasp, Less Delaney?? *Tears (The evil side of me is glad I'm not the only one overloaded by work ) I do miss my favorite burgler ;D Is it crazy to think about raiding presidents day weekend in February?? If the snow isn't great, I certainly would be hiding inside from the holiday crowds... It's still supposed to be challenging even at 60, or so I have heard. I'm still interested in going for fun. I'm interested in raiding again. I really wanna finish out the Rift and also really really really wanna try Helegrod. Plus...maybe we could consider doing some other raids, too, like the IB guy and Bogbereth, so that some people can finish up their Angmar quests?
I dunno about President's Day weekend unless we want to gather up forces on Friday the 13th (skeery) or Sunday the 15th. I imagine quite a few of us are committed to other things on Saturday, Feb. 14th.
