Is the Warden class a hydrid of a hunter and a guardian? I have a hunter and guardian right now and I not sure what a Warden would offer me. Anyone have a Warden and care to comment?
Thanks

I'd describe them as an advanced form of guardian... they're meant to grab and hold aggro and stay alive as long as possible through evade/parry/blocking and self-heals...
They only wear medium armour, but their self-heals and icmr take care of the difference.
From what I've heard, they're super good solo, but my experience so far has shown me that guardians have the upper hand in grabbing and keeping aggro.
I have a harder time not taking aggro from a guardian than from a warden. Though, we'll see what post-book 7 looks like with dps going down 20-25%

I think your "hunter" comparison only holds up in that they get some travel skills. Their DPS is not close to hunter.

What I was thinking about with hunter comparison was that I was assuming they have the highest ranged DPS next to hunter not that they have hunter DPS but much more than guardian. This is all just an assumption.

Warden is not an efficient ranged dps class. You get three or four ranged attacks, which all have cooldowns. So you will be underwhelmed if you are looking to just throw javelins. It would seem that the javelin is for an opening pull or to hit runners, but mainly you should be firing off gambits in melée.
